Who am I?
Hi everyone! My name is Gil Correia and I’m twenty one years old (wish to have those forever). For starters I might explain why I created this blog/website – the reason is very simple – I’ve always loved art and entertainment, whether it is cinema, comic books, TV shows, literature, and, of course, videogames! Despite that, I love to review and express my opinion. Writing about something of my own interest was always my hobby, and it started to become possible with the creation of a website named Next-Gen Critic. That project eventually was canceled because it was too much work for two. Meanwhile, here I am again, stubborn I must admit, in order to try something a bit different on my own. I love home videogame consoles, those are my favorite, but I confess that I also love portable console… quite a lot (laughter’s). Somehow, I managed to get a PSP (Playstation Portable), and now, a PS Vita. I feel many times that people are not so into that portable experience or maybe they just seek other kinds of experiences from the videogame world, probably that’s why Nintendo’s portables sell three times more. We all have the right to have different tastes and I respect a lot those whom prefer a 3DS to a PS Vita. Well, I’m different! I see a portable console like it’s a laptop. Home computers are better on a quality/price level amongst other factors, but with a portable, I can take it everywhere and have the “same” experience just like at home. To me, both the PSP and the PS Vita are my perfect company. Playing Uncharted everywhere and at any time it’s an amazing evolution on the console world. What's my goal? I’m not trying to revolutionize anything or anyone. I’m not hoping to change the image people have of the portable consoles, I just want to express my opinion and to show the true worth of the PS Vita! In a time where many say that it will die, I have the opposite opinion. I believe it will grow, especially with the release of the PS4 and with the new functionality Remote Play that connects them both. So, this blog/website will be just a plain demonstration of my opinion. How this website/blog will function This website/blog will have news, reviews, a page devoted to reviews from Remote Play games and, finally, the RM Awards. The reviews will consist on a numbered score from 1 to 100. Each game will be evaluated on four technical areas – gameplay, graphics, sound and longevity – that will allow calculating the final mean, which will be the final score.
Reviews Explanation
Special Cases: Some games might present themselves by episodes, so the final score will be obtained from the mean of the final score of all the episodes.
RM Awards
RM Awards were originally created by for a previous project made, Revolutionary Mankind. So the name means Revolutionary Mankind Awards. Every year there will be nominations and then the due “deliver” of the awards. There will be certainty a thoughtful and critic foundation. Finally, I hope you like this small project and if you have any critics or suggestions, do not hesitate on sending them to my contact form: |
